Exactly one year ago I was in a hospital bed eagerly waiting to meet our precious baby boy.
I can’t believe 12 whole months have passed already since that monumental day last December when I gave birth to this sweet little soul and became a mother. This year has been unlike any other and I am so thankful for everything that Camden has done for our lives. He has made life more amazing, wondrous, difficult, beautiful, and crazier than I ever imagined and I wouldn’t change a second of it. Becoming parents is the best and hardest thing we have ever done. It is like everyone says, but you truly can’t understand until you are in it. There are feelings so deep and powerful that you have never felt before that make the sleep deprivation and chaos all worthwhile. There is no greater joy than to love this baby and know that he is mine. Thank you Camden for making me a mommy and for being your sweet little self. Daddy and I love you to the moon and back.
Happy First Birthday!!!!

We absolutely love shooting on the beach, especially at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. It is honestly one of our favorite venues. However, frequently while shooting in Florida we run into afternoon thunderstorms that dictate how the day will flow. Thankfully, that was not the case at all for Jared & Melissa’s beautiful wedding last month on the lawn of the Ritz. The day was beautiful and bright with welcoming skies and sunshine that was just the right amount of warm. I’m sure Jared will beg to differ as he was wearing a wool coat, but for me, and hopefully others, it was perfect. This sweet couple from Gainesville knew they found love early in their relationship. Although they knew they had found their other half in one another, because of school and military obligations they waited five years before sealing the deal and becoming man and wife. It was surely worth the wait and a very emotional time for both families. Their wedding was so perfectly fitting for their personalities. Jared dressed in his military finest while Melissa let her true Florida girl heart shine through. She has such a laid back, breezy style and even wore the most adorable Rainbow flip flops on her wedding day. She carried a wild flower inspired bouquet crafted by the amazingly talented Josie with Anything With Plants and Flowers. The entire look from the bouquets to the table tops was perfect for this oceanfront setting. Their reception took place under the stars with a full moon shining down on the water as they danced the night away. As the reception came to an end, guests gathered around fire pits and roasted marshmallows for s’mores. It truly was a perfect night and we can’t imagine a sweeter start to this lovely marriage. Jared & Melissa, you guys are amazing together. We could have easily packed you in our bags and taken you home with us. ;) We hope you enjoy this little preview of what is to come.
