Some of you may recognize this gorgeous mommy in the making as one of our former brides. Maranda asked us to shoot her maternity photos as well as the birth of baby Andrew in July when he arrives! Here is a little teaser from our session over the weekend.

iTrip Down Memory Lane

May 28, 2008

So I was flipping through my iphone and noticed quite a few photos from our recent travels. Since I have been such a bad blogger lately being in and out of town every weekend I figured I would share some of these pictures with you all to try to make up for lack of new posts lately.

These are from March when Brad and I headed down to Daytona Beach around the start of Bike Week. I got a couple cool photos of the sky that day and some bikers traveling along side of us.

I’ve been spotted!

Here is Lucy during our weekend trip to Gainesville in April

This is for our dear friend Star Bradshaw. We thought maybe she was a jack of all trades, photographer, mother, friend, and convenience store owner.

Taking in a UF Gators Baseball game while in Gator-land (er Gainesville)

Photobucket

Brad justified betraying UT by attending the UF game because he was supporting baseball in general.

Gator camouflage was out in full force that day… I’m not sure if she is really incognito at all. :/

This little series is from my trip to Nashville a week or so ago. I was there to shoot a gorgeous wedding, but while I was in town I stayed with my wonderful friends Kim & Tyler. On Sunday they threw a big BBQ and had lots of our old softball team there as well as members from their new team. This series of Kim was taken during our game of celebrity where Jamie forgot her last name. Pure Jamie moment!

Tyler and his cat Rex playing with the ceiling fan pull cords. I’m not sure if it was Tyler or Rex who was having the most fun.

My drive home from TN, I saw this character riding while standing in the bed of a truck for many miles in downtown Atlanta he would pretend to surf from time to time. Granted it wasn’t very safe for me to take a photo with my phone while driving 75mph buuut I totally had to document.

So after my very disappointing doctor’s apt. last week… they ran a bunch of tests on me. One of which required me to pee in this enormous jug for 24 hours. This thing was bigger than Lucy!!! So that was fun not going to far from home all day just so I could pee into a plastic cup and pour it into my gigantic jug that sat a wee bit too close to the milk in my fridge for my liking.

Over Memorial Day weekend, we headed back down to New Smyrna Beach to shoot a few sessions as well as attend my youngest brother’s high school graduation. We were also puppy sitting Action Jackson for the weekend.

Photobucket

He drove and Lucy navigated.

Photobucket

He is such a cuddly dog… Saturday night he cozied up on top of my legs on the couch while we watched TV.

Photobucket

Then Sunday morning he shared his love with a sleepy Bradford

Over the last few weeks I feel like we have been all over the place. From Gainesville to Daytona and New Smyrna, to Orlando and Sarasota. Then up to Nashville and back. This weekend we stay here in Jacksonville then we are off to Destin for a wedding the next weekend. We are keeping busy but its a lot of fun.

Jack Attack

May 28, 2008

On Cinco de Mayo, Bradford and I had the pleasure of shooting some promotional images for the incredibly talented and ultra cool Jack Doyle. Jack is a musician and actor based in Dallas, TX. He and I went to high school together and had not seen each other in nearly a decade when he contacted me to shoot some photos for his new solo album. I was so excited to work with Jack and catch up on all that has happened in our lives since 1998. He is so much fun and is well versed in all things Zoolander… his blue steel is tough to beat folks! Here are a few of my favorite images from his shoot.

And this is what happens when our car doubles as a dressing room. Don’t worry the hanger was not seriously injured. Only minor physical therapy was required to restore it back to new.

We had so much fun working with you Jack. It was great to see you after so many years. We will have to come out to Dallas soon and check out a Rangers game! We can’t wait to see where your career takes you. There are big things in store for you, we know it!

A few weeks back, Brad and I went to Gainesville to shoot Abby and Adrian. They both were graduating from the University of Florida and wanted some special photos to commemorate their time there. We did some fun stuff with their caps and gowns and then took some couples shots around campus. They were both so much fun to hang out with… and even though the campus was super crowded that day we still were able to get some great shots. We managed to get done just before the sun set and the bats in the bat house decided to come alive for the evening. Woo Hoo!

Redneck Movers

May 13, 2008

So last Thursday I was driving to the mall to do some last minute shopping before our trip to Sarasota. On my way I saw this fine specimen of America’s most ingenious transporting goods down I-95. Not only was there a power wheels jeep strapped to the back of the car, but the shammy in the window blocking the mounds of stuff piled high in the backseat was the icing on the cake. Who knew you could use a few bungee cords and rope to hold a jeep to your sedan and while you move across country?! I cheated death and missed my exit while steering with my knee in order to document this with my iphone. Well worth it I do believe! :D
