For those of you who may not know (or maybe you do), it is Mel’s 30th birthday today!! She has turned the big 3-0! She’s just now catching up to me (as usual). So, I hope you will all join me in congratulating this wonderful woman, who is the best wife and friend I could ever have. She has enhanced my life in more ways than I can count.

Happy 30th Birthday sweetheart, I love you!!

p.s. Some of you may have seen her Twit-pic the brand new iMac and Drobo I got her for her birthday. As an additional birthday gift from all of you… I will give her three minutes of relaxing massage for every Happy Birthday comment on this post, which can be redeemed on any date and time of her choice (I learned from the best massage therapist on the planet… Mel herself).

It never fails to amaze me how we can drive just a short hour and a half to the barrier islands of Georgia and feel like we are in an entirely different world.  Earlier this month we shot Dana & Jonathan’s intimate destination wedding at the gorgeous Cloister Sea Island Resort.  The day before their ceremony we were able to get together and shoot some beautiful images of these two around the resort.  Dana & Jonathan are both doctors, but after working with them I’m pretty sure they could leave the world of medicine to become J.Crew models if they ever wanted to.  Can I just say that I love Jonathan’s coat and scarf!!!  Men who accessorize are ranked very high in my book!  I just love these sweet romantic images near the marsh.  They were so excited about their wedding the next day that you could literally feel the love around them.  We really had a amazing time capturing these shots and can’t wait to share their gorgeous winter wedding in the Cloister chapel and wine cellar.

Enjoy!

Yesterday the fabulous folks at Style Me Pretty and Google unveiled an incredible new wedding planning resource that is absolutely free through Google Docs.  As most of you brides know, planning and organizing a wedding goes so much deeper than choosing your dream dress and the perfect Christian Louboutins to make you feel like a rockstar on your wedding day.  There are seating charts to coordinate, invitations to be sent, budgets to balance and the list goes on and on.  Happily, Google and Style Me Pretty have teamed up to create 20 incredible ready-made templates to help you stay organized, on track and on budget when it comes to planning your big day.  Even with the spreadsheet genius I thought Brad had created for our wedding, it does not compare to the ease of what Google Docs has set up.  Click the picture below for a short video about how these templates came to be and even better, how they can simplify and organize your wedding planning.  I wish I had these three and a half years ago when I was scribbling down addresses from everyone I knew.  Oh the address book alone would have been divine!

Last month we met up with one of our favorite couples, Abby & Adrian, on a rainy morning in St. Augustine.  We actually first met these two a year and a half ago when they graduated from the University of Florida.  They hired us to come out and take some graduation photos for them and we had an amazing time getting to know them both while exploring the UF campus.  Fast forward several months and Abby called to tell me how Adrian had proposed while watching the sunrise in St. Augustine.  It only made sense that they also plan their wedding in the town that had so many memories for them both.  So when it came time to talk engagement session ideas, we knew we wanted to keep the St. Auggie theme.  We met up with them as they were leaving church early on a Sunday morning and we found some areas where we could be sheltered from the rain.  Abby & Adrian are both so photogenic and easy to be around that we fell in love with nearly every shot.  We often had to remember we were there to take pictures not hang out and catch up.  We had such a wonderful time exploring some new areas of the historic city and remembering why we love these guys so much.  Below are a few of our favorites from their session.

Abby & Adrian, we can’t wait for your wedding next Fall.  We know it will incredible and we cannot wait to see you both again!

Lots of love!

Mel & Brad
