Katie & Adam are two dog lovers in love.

Katie & Adam met with us, also dog lovers, and it was like instant dog-lover-photographer-client kismet!  Sparks flew and little doggie angels sang when our worlds collided.

Okay so maybe it wasn’t quite as magical, but you get the idea.

All mushiness aside, when Katie started telling us how her Boston Terrier Jax was going to be the ring bearer at her Club Continental wedding this Fall instantly the conversation moved from wedding world to the canine world and we were all hard pressed to move back into wedding land.  Did I mention Katie’s mom is also just as in love with fur babies as we are… and quite possibly one of the coolest MOB’s we have ever met.  Honestly, when we met Katie and her mom during the initial consult we fell in love right away.  Katie is gorgeous, hilarious, obviously a fur baby mama, and a kindred spirit without a doubt.  Here mom was all those things as well and from what we had heard of Adam, he was going to make us fall in love with him too.  Don’t worry Adam, its cool, manly, chest bumping love… nothing girly.  We knew they were going to be one of those couples that made our job so much easier simply because we love being around them.  We were right.

The day we shot their engagement session, we were constantly racing to beat the impending downpour, but you never saw Katie or Adam sweat once.  They were so calm and happy just to be in eachother’s arms.  We love how their session turned out.  So many moments filled with laughter and sweet soft moments when you could really see how much they adore one another.  Here are some of our favorites.

Katie has the best laugh ever.

I love this sweet little beach engagement session we shot back in April.  Since Charlie & Christa were married on May 23rd, I figured I should probably share their engagement photos with you all before revealing their wedding soon.  So here is their stormy beachside engagement session.  We hope you enjoy!

Jamie & Tyler drove down from Georgia last month to explore downtown Jacksonville and shoot their engagement session.  They knew they definitely wanted something with an urban flair to contrast the Amelia Island Beach wedding they will be having in the Fall.  We had an awesome time running around downtown with them and finding new locations as well as bumping into some interesting characters.  Here are a few of our favorites from their session.  Jamie & Tyler, we can’t wait to see you two again in the Fall.  Cooler weather awaits us!

So it would seem the common thread for 2010 in the Watson house would be posting blogs late.  Yes we know we keep promising to do it more frequently but we have been so busy shooting and preparing new stuff for our clients and business that blogging sadly has gotten the short end of the stick.  Its a hard knock life for a blog.  Although our blogging has been spotty, we certainly do not have a shortage of beautiful couples and shoots to share with you all.  One of which is the adorableness that is Landon & Jordan.  We shot these two high school sweethearts way back in March on a beautiful spring evening.  We knew we were going to love these two from our very first meeting overlooking the lake at Landon’s mom’s house.  We got to meet their furbabies and Landon’s mom told us the story of how Jordan first spotted her baby girl while jet skiing on the lake in Orlando where she grew up.  It was on that same body of water several years later that Jordan asked Landon to be his forever.  I am absolutely smitten by their love story and adore the fact that Jordan brought the love of his life back to the very spot he first laid eyes on her to ask for her hand in marriage.  What a guy right?!  For their engagement session, they wanted to incorporate some of the water atmosphere into the shoot but didn’t want it to be too over the top.  So we brainstormed other ideas that would express who Landon and Jordan are as a couple and came up with the perfect plan.  Jordan loves cars both old and new as does Landon and her love for all things vintage.  They both wanted to go someplace that reflected their love for eras past.  We knew historic downtown Sanford would be the perfect sleepy little area to bring their shoot to life.  The 1962 Dodge Polara 500 complimented the setting perfectly and Landon & Jordan did an amazing job of simply being in love.  Two people in love is all we ever need for a perfect shoot and this my friends was downright perfect.  A beautiful couple who are absolutely delightful, a gorgeous vintage car, adorable downtown setting and a sky filled with delicious golden sunlight.  Oh my friends we were in heaven.  Below are a few of our favorites.  We hope you all enjoy.

Landon & Jordan, you guys are the best!  We had a fantastic time running around Sanford with you two and cannot wait to see you again in the Fall.  Your Winter Park wedding will surely be one to remember and we are so happy to be part of your wedding day.  We can’t wait to get your engagement guest book in soon.  Its sure to be one of our favorites.

Here are some of our favorite images from Kelly & Davis’ sweet engagement session set at Kingsley Plantation last month.  Kelly is the younger sister of Lesley whose engagement session you may remember from a few months back.  Yes folks these two beautiful sisters are having weddings this spring and we are so excited to be part of them both!  We shot this session the day after Lesley’s wedding and not even sore post-wedding feet could stop us from having fun with these guys.  Kelly and Davis are so easy going and adorable that we easily could have been convinced to scoop them up and keep them forever.  Fortunately for them and their school schedules we did not, and we let them leave after an appropriate amount of time.  We are so happy with how this session turned out.  Because Davis proposed to Kelly last summer while boating on the St. Johns River, we wanted to capture some of that river life in their engagement session.  I think Kingsley Plantation did that beautifully, and I love how the location only added to the sweetness that exudes from this couple.

Kelly & Davis, we had an amazing time hanging out with you guys during your engagement session and at Lesley & Kyle’s wedding.  We cannot wait for Memorial Day weekend to get here so we can spend more time with you both and your incredible family and friends.
