Lori and Justin met while they were both in school at Texas A&M University. The sparks flew and Justin fell instantly head over heels for this beautiful girl who was living in his apartment complex. Although the spark never faded, school became hectic for the two of them and eventually the relationship ended. After graduation, they both moved away from Texas to pursue their careers. New relationships came and went for both of them, but with every girl that came along, Justin just couldn’t get Lori out of his mind. She would always be “the one that got away” and he wasn’t sure he would ever be able to find someone new to fill that void in his heart. Time passed and Justin found himself living in California when Lori called. She flew out to meet him in San Francisco for a little vacation and instantly the sparks between them were reignited. It wasn’t long after that first visit that Lori was packing her bags and moving to the west coast. Always a Texas girl at heart she made sure Justin knew she was moving out there to be with him and that no state would ever compare to Texas. Not only did Justin win her over but slowly California crept into her bloodstream. The climate, the scenery, a great job and the man of her dreams. Everything just seemed to fall into place for Lori and when Justin proposed she could only answer with YES! She had finally found home in the arms of her college sweetheart.
While I was out in Las Vegas, Lori and Justin flew in for a few days so that we could shoot their engagement session. I had so much fun being with these two and instantly fell in love with both of them. Within just minutes of talking with them it felt like hanging out with a couple of old friends. They were an absolute dream to work with and were up for anything I threw their way. Brad and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in Riveira Maya, Mexico this May. Its going to be absolutely gorgeous! Here are some of my favorites from their engagement shoot.
Lori has the most incredible eyelashes… look at how long they are!!!
Aren’t Lori’s yellow boots just the cutest!?!?
Lori & Justin,
Thank you both for flying out to Las Vegas just to hang out with me!!! You two are so much fun and I simply cannot wait to see you again in just a few months. Brad is still jealous that I got you all to myself when I was in Vegas so I guess I’m going to just have to learn to share you with him in Mexico. Next time we are in San Francisco we will have to get together to play a game of Settlers of Catan.
See you soon!
Mel & Brad
