Bahamas Wedding Photographers | Janelle & Warren’s Old Fort Bay, Nassau Bahamas Wedding

Janelle & Warren’s Bahamian wedding was one of our absolute favorites of this past summer.  They planned a fabulous Old Fort Bay Club wedding in Nassau, Bahamas.  Old Fort Bay is a revitalized military fortress from the 1700′s that has been transformed into an ultra exclusive, members only resort that offers some of the most scenic beaches and views in all of New Providence.   After an exhaustive search for the perfect location, Janelle & Warren knew this was the perfect place for their wedding day.  They kept the ceremony small with just close friends and family there as they said “I Do” on the rooftop of the old fort.  Under hanging strands of orchids and crystals they devoted their lives to one another.  It was a sweet and intimate moment that they shared with the people they loved the most.  More guests arrived to celebrate their union as the reception kicked off.  Although it was an incredibly lavish affair with live entertainment on three levels of the grounds and food to die for, the atmosphere was laid back allowing guests to cut loose and party the night away.  Guests mingled and sipped cocktails as steel drums played near the pool deck setting the tone with Bahamian flair.  A traditional island band played on the rooftop terrace while a cigar roller created one of a kind stogies for everyone to enjoy.  Food ranged from local island seafood and smoked meats to a specialty crepe station with literally some of the most amazing crepes I’ve ever feasted on.  For those of you who know me… you know my love affair with those fantastic French treats.  Willis & the Illest Reggae band kept guests jumping all night as they entertained in the main gazebo.  As a very special and top secret surprise for his bride, Warren flew in grammy award winning artist Miri Ben-Ari to perform some of Janelle’s favorite songs.  She was truly breathtaking to watch as she married hip hop with the electric violin.  We were in awe of her talent and Janelle was completely shocked by her unexpected wedding gift.

Brad and I truly enjoyed every moment of our time in Nassau.  The wedding was coordinated and designed by the amazing team at Island Destination Services.  Lonise and her staff are absolute magicians as they orchestrated this entire event in just a few short weeks.  I loved the history and serenity of this hidden gem of a resort.  Ferrel cats roamed the grounds and island breezes welcomed you as you sifted your toes through the sandy white beaches.  I have to admit it was hard to pry myself away from this gorgeous place.  We got to see the Bahamas in a whole new light and share in the love that Janelle & Warren have for one another.  It was an awesome experience to be part of and we hope these images give you a glimpse into their delightful wedding day.

Janelle & Warren, we wish you lots of love and happiness as you grow your beautiful family together. Thank you again for welcoming us into your lives.
