Katie is one of those brides, that knows exactly what she wants. She knew she wanted a modern wedding at the library downtown, she knew she found her dress the minute she put it on, and she knew she wanted to marry Eric more than anything in the entire world. Katie is not a girl of hesitation, but a girl who knows her own heart. She had found her perfect match in Eric and, on a windy Saturday in March, she anxiously awaited that moment when she would finally become his wife. Like Brad and I, Katie and Eric run a business together. They are both incredibly talented entrepreneurs and fitness professionals who know how to have fun with their work. We know first hand that it takes a special kind of love to be able to work with your spouse on a daily basis and these two undoubtedly have that “x” factor that not only makes it possible to work together, but actually enhances your business because you are so in love. You can see just by the light in their eyes when they look at one another they are truly cut from the same cloth. As we stood on the pool deck of the Omni Hotel in downtown Jacksonville, you could feel the anticipation as Eric waited to see his stunning bride for the very first time. I have to admit, we were all a bit teary eyed as he scooped her up and kissed her as if it was the first time ever seeing her. We so love the emotion and freedom that these first looks allow our couples to have. Such a wonderful time to actually take a moment and dote on each other before walking down the aisle in front of family and friends.
Shortly after their first look, we all headed towards the library to finish taking photos and to get ready for the big moment when Katie would come walking down the library staircase to meet her husband. Although it was a very reserved ceremony, we enjoyed watching from the wings and feeling the love from everyone who came to support these two. The ceremony was quiet, emotional and touching and was quickly followed by one of the best reception celebrations in town! The Momentum Band came in from Atlanta and had the party in full swing all night long. Katie & Eric choreographed a segway from their first dance into the party with their own take on the evolution of dance. It was awesome and everyone loved watching them both show off their incredible dancing skills. It truly was a night to remember.
Katie & Eric, thank you both for including us in your wedding day. You are such a fabulous couple and we so enjoyed getting to know you both as well as your amazing friends and family. We know that your future is filled with even more love and success and we are sure the world is a better place now that you have joined forces. We wish you both buckets of love and happiness together.
